Amy Torgeson is an artist working in printmaking and collage. Her work is influenced by nature, textiles and the colors and textures gathered through travel. Typography continues to serve as a starting point in her process, providing the structure and graphic quality she’s looking for, while an experimental approach keeps the process free and exploratory. Her prints and collages reflect a modern, abstract sensibility and often focus on the direct experience of color, shape, line and pattern.

She teaches hand block printing and cyanotype workshops from her studio in Sausalito and is working on a series of online workshops.

She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two children.
