I am both a photographer and painter, with my focus centering around nature and humanity. While my subjects may appear unrelated, it’s in the details of both that I am drawn to, intrigued by the seemingly unremarkable details that make something what it is, the moments that make up a person’s life, and how both reflect a much deeper meaning to those who take the time to look deeper. All of my paintings are drawn from my street photography, and from portraits of people that inspire and fascinate me. The ability to move back and forth between mediums, and the interconnectivity that exists between them (both in how they interest me and more literally in the subjects themselves), is essential to my creative process and allows me the freedom to explore things on multiple levels.
