“My design background and experience painting merge as I refine my inner voice through abstraction and exploration of figures.
Inspired by and study many, including, Conrad Marca-Relli, Richard Diebenkorn, Manuel Neri, William de Kooning, Helen Frankenthaler, Joan Mitchell, and so many more.
I’ve studied under contemporaries, Jerry McLaughlin, Rebecca Crowell and Melinda Cootsana whose influences I greatly admire and respect.
Natural beauty in Northern Califormia and the daily human condition inspire me. Weaving the study of both through practice into paint is my greatest challenge and dance”.
